Founder & Executive Chair
Bulk Infrastructure
Peder Nærbø is recognized as one of Norway’s most visionary industrial entrepreneurs. He has been a strong advocate for connecting Norway to the rest of the world with sustainable digital infrastructure and played a central role in building up Norway’s data center industry and global fiber connectivity.
In 2006, Nærbø founded Bulk with a mission to address Oslo’s air quality issues. The solution was the development of strategic logistics buildings outside the capital and along the main thoroughfares, which reduced local pollution and traffic in the city. Today, Bulk is one of Norway’s leading players in commercial real estate.
With a strong desire to develop Norway’s digital position, he expanded Bulk into a Nordic infrastructure company specializing in data centers and fiber. He early recognized the opportunity to leverage Norway’s natural advantages from renewable energy, cool climate, and proximity to Europe to develop a digital hub that has both strengthened Norway’s role as a digital nation and made it attractive to leading global companies.
Nærbø is a visionary leader and Norway’s largest contributor to internet connectivity to the rest of the world. Through strong commitment and significant investments in new fiber cables to, among others, the USA and Denmark, Peder has built critical redundancy to previous fiber routes via Sweden.
He is at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure development that contributes to value creation and new opportunities for the public and businesses. Together with the rest of the Bulk team, he works every day to realize the vision of making sustainable infrastructure globally accessible.
