Age Bakker is responsible for fulfilling the strategy and action plan for the Technology area, including processes in IT services and administrative services. Age Bakker was appointed Chief Technology Officer 6 October 2020. Bakker held the position as Chief Operating Officer from October 2009. He joined Norges Bank Investment Management earlier that year as Global Head of IT.

Bakker has previously held positions within teaching and the investment management industry. He spent 14 years with Storebrand Kapitalforvaltning, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. Bakker has a Master’s degree in economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and intermediate subjects in computer science from the University of Tromsø.
