Vijay Gurbaxani

Vijay Gurbaxani is the Founding Director of the Center for Digital Transformation (CFT) and Taco Bell Professor of Business and Computer Science at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine.

His research, teaching and consulting interests are at the nexus of business strategy and information technology (IT). He focuses on analyzing how emerging information technologies enable business model innovation; on developing and evaluating business-driven strategies for the sourcing of information services; and on valuing IT investment. His approach is distinctive in its use of economic principles as the lens with which to analyze strategic management questions.

Vijay has extensive experience in management education and advisory services, having lectured worldwide on management issues, taught extensively in degree and executive education programs, and consulted for and provided research expertise to many organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, technology service providers, and leading consulting firms. He has been a visiting scholar at the business schools at Stanford University and at MIT. In 1994-95, he was a Research Fellow at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he reported to the President of the Technology Management Group.

Vijay has an active research program supported by funds from the National Science Foundation and from industry, having raised over $5M during his career. He authored the book, “Managing Information Systems Costs,” and has published numerous articles in premier journals in his areas of specialization including Information Systems Research, Management Science, MIS Quarterly and Sloan Management Review.

Jonas Kjellberg

As one of the founding partners of SKYPE, Jonas Kjellberg was part of one of the internet’s biggest businesses – a simple, innovative idea that has gone on to revolutionize and disrupt the telecommunications sector.

Jonas is currently the Founder of NORNORM, a fully Circular, Subscription based furnishing Service, with IKEA as largest investor.

Jonas is also an experienced Venture Investor. As head of Internet Investments at Kinnevik, a Swedish investment company with a global reach, Jonas was part of transforming the company into a global tech investor by investing more than 700 million Euros into new Internet giants as Zalando, Rocket Internet, Avito and more.

Jonas was also the Chairman of iCloud, sold to Apple, and founder of Player:IO. He was CEO and founder of Campuz Mobile and Optimal Telecom, part of Tele2. He has also served as Vice President of Bertelsmann for Lycos Europe and CEO of Wyatt Media Group.

Jonas has regularly been lecturing at Stanford University and Stockholm School of Economics on entrepreneurship, sales cultures and how to bring product sales, profitability, and the whole company together. He is also one of the authors of the bestseller “Gear Up Ventures, Your Best Business Idea Ever”.

Inga Strümke

Inga Strümke is one of Norway’s leading experts on artificial intelligence, and an associate professor and researcher at the Norwegian Open AI Lab at NTNU. Her book “Machines That Think” was published in the spring of 2023 and became an immediate national bestseller.

With a main research focus on explainable AI, Inga argues that using AI for good is closely linked to both understanding AI well, but also knowing ourselves and our needs, including legal perspectives. She was awarded name of the year in academia and received the Norwegian Research Council’s outreach prize in 2023. Her book Machines that think was the most sold non-fiction book in Norway in 2023, and was awarded the Norwegian literature prize Brageprisen in the non-fiction category. The Book is currently translated to Swedish, Danish, German and Japanese.

Previously, Inga received the University of Bergen’s outreach prize in 2019, and was awarded “ One of Norway’s 50 leading women in tech 2020. She is an international keynote speaker, podcast host at the Norwegian Council for Digital Ethics and has several video courses on artificial intelligence available, also in Spanish.

Martin Bech Holte

Martin Bech Holte is one of Norway’s sharpest economists, with experience both as a researcher and a leader in the business sector. He has led McKinsey & Co. in Norway and served as a director at Aker, and with this unique combination of academic weight and insight into the power centers of the economy, he is able to put complex relationships into a larger perspective.

In January 2025, he published the book “The Country That Became Too Rich,” which quickly became a bestseller and a hot topic of discussion. The book poses the burning question: Why are the economic indicators pointing downwards in Norway, a country that in 2013 was a world leader in prosperity, health, and happiness? Holte warns of stagnation but also points the way back to sustainable growth – and challenges Norwegian leaders and politicians to find the strength to act in time.

Camilla Stoltenberg

Camilla Stoltenberg is the CEO of NORCE – Norwegian Research Centre, an independent research institute that conducts research to facilitate informed and sustainable choices for the future. Camilla is a medical doctor and holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Oslo.

From 2001 she was a part of the top management at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), first as Executive Director of the division of epidemiology, then as a Deputy Director General, and from 2012-2023 as Director General.As Director General of NIPH she was responsible for national strategic projects related to infrastructure for science and analysis. In the period 2020-2023 she was NIPH’s spokesperson in the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She also studied sociology at University of Oslo and social anthropology/medical anthropology at the University of California Berkeley and San Francisco (UCSF). She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health in 1998-2001 and visiting scholar at Harvard School of Public Health and Columbia University in New York from 2000-2001.

Camilla Stoltenberg has been a professor at the University of Bergen, Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care, since 2012, and she remains active within research. She has led several research projects with funds from the EU, The Norwegian Research Council and National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US.

She is socially engaged and broadly involved in research and research strategy and has held numerous national and international positions and assignments.

Jon Kåre Stene

Jon Kåre Stene is Co-founder & former COO of Oda, Norway´s first unicorn and Co-founder & Partner of Skyfall Ventures, which is a Norwegian early-stage venture capital fund investing in Nordic tech startups.

He has experience with hyper scaling and process improvement from Oda, and an expert in LEAN, LEAN Startup and digitalization. He is also an experienced course instructor and speaker on topics such as digitalization and technological transformation, platformization, LEAN, innovation, performance culture, and organizational development.

Jon Kåre is passionate about creating cultures that serve as a competitive advantage and understanding how technology is transforming the world we live in.

Karianne Tung

The Minister of Digitalisation and Public Governance is responsible for ICT and public administration policy, electronic communication, government employer policy, central government building and property management, the administrative responsibility for county governors and work on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Liv Dingsør

Liv Dingsør is the CEO of the non-profit organization Digital Norway, which works to accelerate digitalization in Norway.

She has held leadership positions at DNB, Aker ASA, FSN Capital/Pm Retail, Nordic Innovation Group, and Inviso. She is the chair of the board at Inventas and a board member at Hexagon Composites. Dingsør is a former active snowboarder and has been a board member of the Snowboard Association. She holds a degree in economics from NHH. Dingsør has participated in numerous public councils and committees related to the data economy.

She is passionate about the power of data and technology for the breadth of the business sector and for increased public-private collaboration.

Anniken Hauglie

Anniken Hauglie is Deputy Director General of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), and Director of the Department for Policy and Government Relations. From 2020 to 2021, she served as CEO of the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association. Hauglie is a former Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.

Helle Øverbye

Helle Øverbye is Executive Vice President at Innovation Norway. She leads the division People and Technology, which is responsible for digital transformation, data intelligence and technology, service and product development, culture, employee engagement, and working life. Øverbye has been with Innovation Norway since 2020.

She holds a Master of Science in Physics from INSA in Toulouse, France, and NTNU in Trondheim. Before joining Innovation Norway, Øverbye spent five years in the media industry, primarily working with technology-driven change—first at Aftenposten, then at group level in Schibsted, and later as Chief People & Communication Officer at NHST (now DN Media Group). She has also worked as a consultant at Accenture and EY, and held various organizational and leadership roles at DNV and at the research center Physics of Geological Processes at the University of Oslo.

Rasmus Figenschou

Rasmus Figenschou has led the Corporate Market Norway in DNB since 2021. This means he is the bank manager for one-third of all Norwegian businesses. Rasmus is known for his innovative approach and strategic vision.

Rasmus has an impressive track record of board positions in several significant companies, including BankID, BankAxept, and Vipps Holding. His analytical mindset and ability to combine deep industry knowledge have made him a sought-after advisor and leader.

Øystein E. Søreide

Øystein E. Søreide is the Chief Executive Officer of Abelia, which is the national association in NHO for knowledge and technology enterprises. Abelia organizes approximately 2,800 businesses with over 65,000 full-time employees.

Øystein E. Søreide is a business leader and former politician (H), and has had a long career as district director in Bydel Grorud in Oslo, CARE, SOS Children’s Villages, UNICEF, the Conservative Party, and O. Mustad & Søn AS. He has also served as the health and social commissioner in Oslo.”

Isabelle Ringnes

Isabelle Ringnes is a recognized tech evangelist, technology entrepreneur, and an active source and voice in the media on technological development, societal development, and diversity. Isabelle has been named one of six Norwegians in the “100 Most Influential People in Nordic Tech,” one of the 50 leading women in tech in Norway, and Inspiring Fifty Women in Tech.

Isabelle is a passionate and sought-after public speaker and evangelist for the impact of technology on society, the benefits of diversity, and the urgent need for equality. She teaches the subject of diversity at Singularity University Nordic and is an active board member of Dermanor, INSJ, Moving Mamas, TENK, Oslo Freedom Forum, and the Norwegian Cancer Society.

She is the co-founder of Equalitycheck.com, which combines structural and cultural data to help businesses understand and improve diversity and culture in the workplace.

In 2015, she founded TENK: a technology network for women aimed at inspiring young girls to help shape the future of our world with technology. TENK has established biannual technology camps for young girls, and Isabelle has given talks to thousands of girls across Norway to inspire them to choose technology. Together with SOS Children’s Villages, she founded Digital Villages in 2020, which helped children in developing countries gain access to technology.

In 2014, she co-founded #Hunspanderer, a social movement addressing unconscious bias and gender patterns, reaching millions of people in Norway.

Yngvar Ugland

Yngvar is known from TV, podcasts, newspaper articles, op-eds, debates, and from various stages both domestically and abroad. His academic rigor in technology issues has led to him being a regular lecturer at Singularity University and a highly popular guest lecturer at the Norwegian School of Economics. At Techpoint 2021, Yngvar will hold the role of host alongside Cilia Holmes Indahl. Together, they constitute the perfect combination of competence, international experience, and academic knowledge, delivered in a way that captivates a discerning audience.

Norway’s first consumer technology expert possesses firsthand knowledge of new technological solutions and products. Yngvar is DnB’s and the consumers’ man on technology issues. He works with new technological solutions and products, and assesses the opportunities and challenges these solutions present. The consumer technology expert at DNB and the Division Director at NewTechLab DNB is the driving force behind the bank’s innovation work, operating from offices in Bjørvika, San Francisco, and Palo Alto.

Ugland has a Master of Science in Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Before he started at DNB, he worked at Microsoft for an extended period. He also has experience from various startups and Fintech companies.

Kristin Flornes

My academic background is in mathematics and technology management. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (1993) and a PhD in Mathematics from the same institution (1998). Additionally, I earned a Master’s degree in Technology Management from NTNU and the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in 2021.

I have extensive experience in technology development, research, and research management. I began my career as a project engineer at Western Geco and continued as an analyst for the Nordic power market at Point Carbon. I joined IRIS as a researcher in 2005, where I held various leadership roles, including Research Director and Head of the Energy Department, eventually becoming Director of the entire institute during its merger into NORCE in 2018. From 2018 to 2021, I helped build and lead NORCE’s Technology Department.

After completing my degree in technology management in 2021, I moved into the industry to apply my new knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovation. From 2021 to 2024, I worked with early-stage innovation at Eviny and was involved in founding several companies within electrification and sustainability. This experience has provided valuable insight that I now bring to my current role at NORCE.

I have served on numerous boards, including as a board member of COREC – Centre for Oil Recovery, and as a member of the program board for CLIMIT – Norway’s national research and development program for carbon capture and storage (CCS). I have also chaired the board of DIKU – the Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education, and served as board chair of the startup Ayond, which delivers innovative battery systems. I currently serve as Vice President of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences (NTVA) and as a board member of Energi2050, a strategic energy initiative.

Morten Goodwin

Morten Goodwin is a professor of artificial intelligence at the University of Agder, and is recognized as one of Norway’s foremost experts in artificial intelligence. He co-founded and is the lead researcher at AI Experts and serves as the deputy head at the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR).

Goodwin seamlessly juggles roles as a professor, educator, public debater, communicator, author, and CTO. With 20 years of academic experience, a Ph.D., and more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, he is a dedicated researcher focusing on deep neural networks. He received the NORA Award for his outstanding contribution to the AI community, education, and dissemination and was listed by Khrono among the 300 most published researchers in Norway.

Goodwin is involved in numerous extensive research projects spanning fundamental and applied AI research. This includes work in agriculture, aquaculture, cultural production, education, health, industrial optimization, natural language processing, and recommendation engines. He is a passionate communicator, and as an author, debater, and public speaker, he delivers approximately 100 popular science presentations annually. His primary focus is on the potential AI offers and demystifying his field of research.

In addition to his academic and research contributions, Goodwin is a government-appointed member of both the Privacy Board (Personvernnemnda) and the Technology Council (Teknologirådet).

 

Samina Vabo Ansari

Samina Vabo Ansari is a global impact leader and visionary in sustainability, ethical leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Her career spans peacebuilding, entrepreneurship, and leadership development, including strategic roles with tech startups and initiatives empowering entrepreneurs. She has collaborated with organizations like the European Union, UN Women, and NATO, and has guided leaders and businesses to embrace transformation by aligning systems with human potential.

With expertise in fostering resilience, adaptability, and innovation, Samina is a dynamic speaker who inspires action on topics such as ethical AI, leadership transformation, and building sustainable futures.

 

Julie Strømsvåg

I 20 år har Julie Strømsvåg underholdt det norske folk gjennom TV-skjermen. På TV 2, Viaplay og nå NRK – som journalist, programleder og en som aldri sier nei til en god historie.

Julie har i en årrekke vært ansiktet utad for de store sportsbegivenhetene på TV, fra håndball- og fotball-VM til de olympiske leker, Tour de France og vintersport. Hun har ledet nyhetssendinger og underholdningsprogram – som Sommeråpent og Fangene på Fortet, og gjør hele spekteret med samme glød og engasjement.

Elisabeth Austad Asser

Elisabeth Austad Asser har doktorgrad i kunstig intelligens og etikk fra Universitetet i Agder (2024). Doktorgradsavhandlingen dreier seg om hvordan menneskelige verdier, mennesker og samfunn blir utfordret av KI-teknologi.

Elisabeth har over tjue års erfaring innen digitalisering, markedsføring og endringsledelse fra flere store virksomheter i Norge. Hun er en aktiv samfunnsdebattant og foredragsholder, og jobber til daglig med bærekraft i Sparebanken Sør.

Stig Marthinsen

Stig Marthinsen leads EDIH Oceanopolis. Since the 1990s, he has worked with digital innovation and business development, with a particular focus on the interaction between the public and private sectors, both in Norway and across Europe.

He has extensive experience from the European Commission and European innovation arenas, has co-founded an award-winning digital service at the European level, and has served as an advisor for a wide range of organizations, from startups to publicly listed companies.

Dr. Aksel Sterri

Aksel Sterri is the Research Director at Langsikt, a think tank dedicated to improving governance of vexed issues such as AI, biotechnology, global health, climate change, and animal welfare. I’m also an Honorary Research Associate at the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics and an Affiliated Researcher at the University of Oslo’s Physics Department. In 2025, he received an 8 million NOK grant from the Research Council of Norway for the project “Valuing Animals”, which will be based at the Philosophy Department at the University of Oslo.

Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University (Government), the University of Oxford (Philosophy), and OsloMet (Health Sciences). Aksel Sterri have a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Oslo.

His research interests are at the intersection of philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE). Aksel is particularly interested in how markets can be designed and regulated to achieve fairer and better outcomes, from allocating organs, vaccines, and drugs to improving animal welfare and developing new technologies, including AI.

Thordur Arnason

With a career spanning over 25 years in the industry, Thordur Arnason has developed a deep understanding of technology, innovation, and strategic leadership. His journey has been marked by an unrelenting pursuit of knowledge and a commitment to driving positive change.

As an experienced leader, he has contributed to the growth and success of several companies, skillfully navigating the challenges of strategic technology management, recruitment, mergers and acquisitions, as well as the development of new business opportunities. His ability to deliver exceptional results for clients is a testament to his expertise and dedication.

In recent times, his focus has shifted towards the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly generative AI, and its far-reaching implications for humanity and the professional landscape. He is passionate about exploring the ethical dimensions of AI, unlocking its creative possibilities, and harnessing its power to shape a better future.

Helge O. Svela

Helge Svela is the director of the media cluster Media City Bergen, and he has a background of 16 years as a journalist and editorial leader at Bergens Tidende.

Svela is a pioneer in ensuring truthful journalism through methodical work, and he has won the SKUP diploma for the project ‘Fact Check’. This fall, he launched the project Reynir, which aims to develop technology that detects fake images

Marcus Lobbes

Marcus Lobbes is the Director of the Academy for Theater and Digitality, the sixth division at Theater Dortmund, which was founded in 2019.

As director of the Dortmund Academy, he is in demand locally, nationally and internationally in lecture and discourse formats; an important concern for him is the formation and promotion of various networks for the performing arts as well as the communication of artistic research in correspondence with the latest technologies to theater and educational institutions, politics and the public.

He has been working as a director, designer and author in music and spoken theater since 1995 and has also been regularly invited as a guest lecturer at various renowned colleges and universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2014.

Simen Sommerfeldt

Simen Sommerfeldt, teknologidirektør hos Bouvet, et ledende skandinavisk konsulentselskap, er en anerkjent ekspert innen personvern og GDPR. Han har medforfattet boken «Personvern og GDPR i praksis», som er inkludert i pensum ved flere høyskoler og universiteter. Som fagekspert bidro han til Digital21-utvalgets anbefalinger til den norske regjeringen. Videre er Simen medgrunnlegger av Lær Kidsa Koding, en organisasjon som har opprettet over 200 kodeklubber i Norge og fremmer programmering i skolen.

Som en innovativ tenker, er Simen også medgrunnlegger av GoForIT, et bærekraftig samarbeid mellom akademia og næringslivet. I våren 2024 spilte han en nøkkelrolle i etableringen av konferansen Generativ KI i offentlig sektor, som tiltrekker seg over 400 deltakere og nesten 200 på venteliste. Han er dessuten utnevnt av regjeringen som vara i Personvern-nemnda.

I sitt arbeid hos Bouvet koordinerer Simen initiativer knyttet til Generativ KI og engasjerer seg dypt i utforskningen av hvordan generativ KI kan transformere både offentlige og private virksomheter.

Nelson Uto

Nelson possesses over 20 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity and has held various roles, including consultant, researcher, and head of research and development. He has successfully executed numerous projects in the areas of applied cryptography, reverse engineering, malware analysis, penetration testing, server hardening, and PCI DSS compliance. The projects have spanned a wide range of areas, including mobile devices, web applications, smart meters, and software-defined radios.

Nelson played a major role in restructuring the Security R&D team at Samsung Brazil, where he led a team of talented engineers in the creation of cutting-edge security solutions for mobile devices. These solutions have achieved global commercial availability and received two awards from Samsung headquarters.

Nelson also brings over 12 years of experience as a lecturer for undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Sciences and Information Security, both in Brazil and Norway. He has published and presented papers at international conferences and is the sole author of the book ‘Web Application Penetration Testing’ (in Portuguese). Based on this work, he has provided training to select groups, including the Brazilian Armed Forces and Federal Police.
