Priya Lakhani

Priya Lakhani is an award-winning serial-entrepreneur, who founded Century Tech, an AI and education technology company developing learning tools for schools, colleges, and universities globally.

Under her leadership, Century Tech now operates in over sixty countries and is recognized for transforming classrooms, further education institutions and workplace training globally.

Priya Lakhani was selected as a Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and have received a number of awards, including National Economic Innovator of the Year, Business Entrepreneur of the Year, and awards from The Mayor’s Fund and MIT.

Priya’s impact extends to AI policy and ethics. She co-founded the Institute for Ethical AI in Education (2018), joined the UK Government’s AI Council (2019), and served as a Non‑Executive board member at DCMS (2021‑2023). She now sits on the UK Prime Minister’s Council for Science & Technology and contributes to Sir Patrick Vallance’s AI regulation review.

She was awarded an OBE in 2014, am Honorary Vice President of the Council of British International Schools, and received an honorary doctorate from Coventry University’s engineering faculty. She is also co-host of AI Decoded, the BBC’s flagship programme on artificial intelligence.
