Erling has served as the Managing Director of the destination company Visit Lindesnes for 14 years, where he works with place and destination development, business consulting, hospitality, and promoting the region.

He has led several projects that have resulted in destinations being awarded the Sustainable Destination label. Currently, he is a sub-project manager in the AI project of the Network for Destination Management and Sustainable Destination Development – a national network of Norwegian destinations committed to sustainable development through the Sustainable Destination certification scheme.

Through this network, destinations collaborate to develop forward-looking solutions for a more sustainable tourism industry.
