Vijay Gurbaxani

Vijay Gurbaxani is the Founding Director of the Center for Digital Transformation (CFT) and Taco Bell Professor of Business and Computer Science at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine.

His research, teaching and consulting interests are at the nexus of business strategy and information technology (IT). He focuses on analyzing how emerging information technologies enable business model innovation; on developing and evaluating business-driven strategies for the sourcing of information services; and on valuing IT investment. His approach is distinctive in its use of economic principles as the lens with which to analyze strategic management questions.

Vijay has extensive experience in management education and advisory services, having lectured worldwide on management issues, taught extensively in degree and executive education programs, and consulted for and provided research expertise to many organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, technology service providers, and leading consulting firms. He has been a visiting scholar at the business schools at Stanford University and at MIT. In 1994-95, he was a Research Fellow at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he reported to the President of the Technology Management Group.

Vijay has an active research program supported by funds from the National Science Foundation and from industry, having raised over $5M during his career. He authored the book, “Managing Information Systems Costs,” and has published numerous articles in premier journals in his areas of specialization including Information Systems Research, Management Science, MIS Quarterly and Sloan Management Review.

Jonas Kjellberg

As one of the founding partners of SKYPE, Jonas Kjellberg was part of one of the internet’s biggest businesses – a simple, innovative idea that has gone on to revolutionize and disrupt the telecommunications sector.

Jonas is currently the Founder of NORNORM, a fully Circular, Subscription based furnishing Service, with IKEA as largest investor.

Jonas is also an experienced Venture Investor. As head of Internet Investments at Kinnevik, a Swedish investment company with a global reach, Jonas was part of transforming the company into a global tech investor by investing more than 700 million Euros into new Internet giants as Zalando, Rocket Internet, Avito and more.

Jonas was also the Chairman of iCloud, sold to Apple, and founder of Player:IO. He was CEO and founder of Campuz Mobile and Optimal Telecom, part of Tele2. He has also served as Vice President of Bertelsmann for Lycos Europe and CEO of Wyatt Media Group.

Jonas has regularly been lecturing at Stanford University and Stockholm School of Economics on entrepreneurship, sales cultures and how to bring product sales, profitability, and the whole company together. He is also one of the authors of the bestseller “Gear Up Ventures, Your Best Business Idea Ever”.

Inga Strümke

Inga Strümke is one of Norway’s leading experts on artificial intelligence, and an associate professor and researcher at the Norwegian Open AI Lab at NTNU. Her book “Machines That Think” was published in the spring of 2023 and became an immediate national bestseller.

With a main research focus on explainable AI, Inga argues that using AI for good is closely linked to both understanding AI well, but also knowing ourselves and our needs, including legal perspectives. She was awarded name of the year in academia and received the Norwegian Research Council’s outreach prize in 2023. Her book Machines that think was the most sold non-fiction book in Norway in 2023, and was awarded the Norwegian literature prize Brageprisen in the non-fiction category. The Book is currently translated to Swedish, Danish, German and Japanese.

Previously, Inga received the University of Bergen’s outreach prize in 2019, and was awarded “ One of Norway’s 50 leading women in tech 2020. She is an international keynote speaker, podcast host at the Norwegian Council for Digital Ethics and has several video courses on artificial intelligence available, also in Spanish.

Martin Bech Holte

Martin Bech Holte is one of Norway’s sharpest economists, with experience both as a researcher and a leader in the business sector. He has led McKinsey & Co. in Norway and served as a director at Aker, and with this unique combination of academic weight and insight into the power centers of the economy, he is able to put complex relationships into a larger perspective.

In January 2025, he published the book “The Country That Became Too Rich,” which quickly became a bestseller and a hot topic of discussion. The book poses the burning question: Why are the economic indicators pointing downwards in Norway, a country that in 2013 was a world leader in prosperity, health, and happiness? Holte warns of stagnation but also points the way back to sustainable growth – and challenges Norwegian leaders and politicians to find the strength to act in time.

Håkon Haugli

Håkon Haugli is CEO of Innovation Norway which is is the Norwegian Government’s most important instrument for innovation and development of Norwegian enterprises and industry.

Innovation Norway support companies in developing their competitive advantage and to enhance innovation. Norwegian enterprises have access to a broad business support system as well as financial means. Innovation Norway provides competence, advisory services, promotional services and network services. The marketing of Norway as a tourist destination is also considered one of the organizations important tasks. Rasmus Figenschou

Rasmus Figenschou has led the Corporate Market Norway in DNB since 2021. This means he is the bank manager for one-third of all Norwegian businesses. Rasmus is known for his innovative approach and strategic vision.

Camilla Stoltenberg

Camilla Stoltenberg is the CEO of NORCE – Norwegian Research Centre, an independent research institute that conducts research to facilitate informed and sustainable choices for the future. Camilla is a medical doctor and holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Oslo.

From 2001 she was a part of the top management at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), first as Executive Director of the division of epidemiology, then as a Deputy Director General, and from 2012-2023 as Director General.As Director General of NIPH she was responsible for national strategic projects related to infrastructure for science and analysis. In the period 2020-2023 she was NIPH’s spokesperson in the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She also studied sociology at University of Oslo and social anthropology/medical anthropology at the University of California Berkeley and San Francisco (UCSF). She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health in 1998-2001 and visiting scholar at Harvard School of Public Health and Columbia University in New York from 2000-2001.

Camilla Stoltenberg has been a professor at the University of Bergen, Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care, since 2012, and she remains active within research. She has led several research projects with funds from the EU, The Norwegian Research Council and National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US.

She is socially engaged and broadly involved in research and research strategy and has held numerous national and international positions and assignments.

Øystein Eriksen Søreide

Øystein E. Søreide is the Chief Executive Officer of Abelia, which is the national association in NHO for knowledge and technology enterprises. Abelia organizes approximately 2,800 businesses with over 65,000 full-time employees.

Øystein E. Søreide is a business leader and former politician (H), and has had a long career as district director in Bydel Grorud in Oslo, CARE, SOS Children’s Villages, UNICEF, the Conservative Party, and O. Mustad & Søn AS. He has also served as the health and social commissioner in Oslo.”

Liv Dingsør

Liv Dingsør is the CEO of the non-profit organization Digital Norway, which works to accelerate digitalization in Norway.

She has held leadership positions at DNB, Aker ASA, FSN Capital/Pm Retail, Nordic Innovation Group, and Inviso. She is the chair of the board at Inventas and a board member at Hexagon Composites. Dingsør is a former active snowboarder and has been a board member of the Snowboard Association. She holds a degree in economics from NHH. Dingsør has participated in numerous public councils and committees related to the data economy.

She is passionate about the power of data and technology for the breadth of the business sector and for increased public-private collaboration.

Jon Kåre Stene

Jon Kåre Stene is Co-founder & former COO of Oda, Norway´s first unicorn and Co-founder & Partner of Skyfall Ventures, which is a Norwegian early-stage venture capital fund investing in Nordic tech startups.

He has experience with hyper scaling and process improvement from Oda, and an expert in LEAN, LEAN Startup and digitalization. He is also an experienced course instructor and speaker on topics such as digitalization and technological transformation, platformization, LEAN, innovation, performance culture, and organizational development.

Jon Kåre is passionate about creating cultures that serve as a competitive advantage and understanding how technology is transforming the world we live in.

Isabelle Ringnes

Isabelle Ringnes is a recognized tech evangelist, technology entrepreneur, and an active source and voice in the media on technological development, societal development, and diversity. Isabelle has been named one of six Norwegians in the “100 Most Influential People in Nordic Tech,” one of the 50 leading women in tech in Norway, and Inspiring Fifty Women in Tech.

Isabelle is a passionate and sought-after public speaker and evangelist for the impact of technology on society, the benefits of diversity, and the urgent need for equality. She teaches the subject of diversity at Singularity University Nordic and is an active board member of Dermanor, INSJ, Moving Mamas, TENK, Oslo Freedom Forum, and the Norwegian Cancer Society.

She is the co-founder of Equalitycheck.com, which combines structural and cultural data to help businesses understand and improve diversity and culture in the workplace.

In 2015, she founded TENK: a technology network for women aimed at inspiring young girls to help shape the future of our world with technology. TENK has established biannual technology camps for young girls, and Isabelle has given talks to thousands of girls across Norway to inspire them to choose technology. Together with SOS Children’s Villages, she founded Digital Villages in 2020, which helped children in developing countries gain access to technology.

In 2014, she co-founded #Hunspanderer, a social movement addressing unconscious bias and gender patterns, reaching millions of people in Norway.

Morten Goodwin

Morten Goodwin is a professor of artificial intelligence at the University of Agder, and is recognized as one of Norway’s foremost experts in artificial intelligence. He co-founded and is the lead researcher at AI Experts and serves as the deputy head at the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR).

Goodwin seamlessly juggles roles as a professor, educator, public debater, communicator, author, and CTO. With 20 years of academic experience, a Ph.D., and more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, he is a dedicated researcher focusing on deep neural networks. He received the NORA Award for his outstanding contribution to the AI community, education, and dissemination and was listed by Khrono among the 300 most published researchers in Norway.

Goodwin is involved in numerous extensive research projects spanning fundamental and applied AI research. This includes work in agriculture, aquaculture, cultural production, education, health, industrial optimization, natural language processing, and recommendation engines. He is a passionate communicator, and as an author, debater, and public speaker, he delivers approximately 100 popular science presentations annually. His primary focus is on the potential AI offers and demystifying his field of research.

In addition to his academic and research contributions, Goodwin is a government-appointed member of both the Privacy Board (Personvernnemnda) and the Technology Council (Teknologirådet).

 

Samina Vabo Ansari

Samina Vabo Ansari is a global impact leader and visionary in sustainability, ethical leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Her career spans peacebuilding, entrepreneurship, and leadership development, including strategic roles with tech startups and initiatives empowering entrepreneurs. Patrycja Antosz

What do food waste, labour markets and city transport have in common? At least two things. One, they’re all complex, dynamic social systems. Two, steering them in the right direction requires an understanding of how they work. I’ve been fascinated by such phenomena my entire academic career. I develop computational models representing real-world complex social systems and play with what-if scenarios that showcase probable futures. This gives me a valuable insight into how societies function and change.

I’ve been a member of the European Open Science Cluster, secretary (2020-2022) and member of the Management Committee Secretary of European Social Simulation Association, and a proud recipient of the European Social Simulation Association’s Best Student Paper award (2017).

Helge O. Svela

Helge Svela is the director of the media cluster Media City Bergen, and he has a background of 16 years as a journalist and editorial leader at Bergens Tidende.

Svela is a pioneer in ensuring truthful journalism through methodical work, and he has won the SKUP diploma for the project ‘Fact Check’. This fall, he launched the project Reynir, which aims to develop technology that detects fake images

Nabil Belbachir

Nabil Belbachir has almost three decades of experience with computer vision, AI and robotics, as engineer, scientist, visionary leader and strategist, contributing with sustainable innovative concepts, products and solutions. 

Nabil Belbachir is a research director at NORCE, director at eu-robotics Aisbl and strategy advisor for ADRA Aisbl and the European Commission, for coordinating European Strategic Research, Innovation and Deployment Agenda 2030 and contributing to HEU work programme 2025-2027 in AI, Data and Robotics.

He has a PhD (2005) in computer science from TU Vienna (Austria). He edited the single-source Springer book “Smart Cameras (2009)”, translated into Chinese by China Machine Press (2014). He has over 120 scientific publications, 3 patents and he is recently coordinating COGNIMAN, the Horizon Europe Innovation project on AI-powered robotics for Smart Manufacturing.
