With a rich and colorful career spanning 30+ years at SLB in multiple geographies, activities, and disciplines, Noor today heads up the global SLB Rig technologies business based in Kristiansand.

As a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he started his career working as a field engineer on Seismic survey ships. Over the years, he moved on to engineering, operations management, and technology management roles. He has been fortunate to have had roles allowing him to look at technology from all sides of its lifecycle, giving him a unique perspective on technology. During his assignments, he and his family lived and worked in six countries across Asia, Europe, and North America, giving him a diverse and rewarding cultural experience.

He finds his current role the most rewarding and exciting of his career. SLB Kristiansand, the business he heads, is in transition. With the decline in global rig-building activity, the business had to redefine itself and embrace the opportunities in the emerging renewables space.

Thankfully, the rig-building business, like fishing and shipping, is built on a solid technology backbone, spanning both cutting-edge software and hardware domains,  that can be repurposed towards new ventures. It is this transition challenge that Noor is enjoying leading while leveraging his experience in technology.

Marius is a Business Developer in ZEG, working with commercialization of ZEG’s novel ZEG ICC^TM technology for producing clean hydrogen from gas with integrated carbon capture. Prior to his current role, Marius has experience in techno-economic analysis, business development and project development from various positions within aquaculture/offshore aquaculture, solar power, and hydro power.

Marius holds a MSc in Energy and Environmental engineering, specialized in energy analysis and techno-economic optimization, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the University of Queensland. In addition, he holds a BSc in Financial Management from NTNU Business School.“

Erling was brought up in the exiting oil and gas industry in Kristiansand. From the start of his Mechanical Engineering career in 1994 he has developed equipment and designed drilling equipment packages for numerous clients around the world.

Espen leads the technology development department in SLB Kristiansand for our core business and new energy. He has more than 18 years of SLB experience in Norway and Singapore supporting the company in various roles. 10 of these years were spent on site around the world, followed by roles in training, engineering, sustaining and business development in Norway.

Espen holds a bachelor in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Agder and is passionate about developing and implementing new technology. In his current position Espen is collaborating closely with the global SLB organization to reduce emissions for our offerings as well as being heavily involved in the global new energy initiatives.
